Geoblocking

Geoblocking allows you to restrict your audio stream to only be available to listeners in certain countries. Geoblocking can operate in either a "whitelist" or "blacklist" mode, where only specific countries are allowed or blocked.

Geoblocking is included in all Radio Mast streaming plans.

Configuring Geoblocking

After logging into Radio Mast:

  1. Click Streams on the left.
  2. Click the stream you'd like to configure.
  3. Select the Configuration tab.
  4. Under Listener Authentication, click Geoblocking. Select a mode and the countries you wish to block or allow.
  5. Click Save Stream to apply your settings.

The geoblocking modes available are:

  • Only allow listeners from these countries (whitelist) - Listeners from all other countries will be blocked.
  • Block listeners from these countries (blacklist) - Listeners from all other countries will be allowed.

Changes to geoblocking settings apply immediately to all new listeners. Listeners that are mid-session will not be filtered until they the next time they connect.
