Geoblocking

Geoblocking allows you to restrict your audio stream to only be available to listeners in certain countries. Geoblocking can operate in either an "allow list" or "deny list" mode, where only specific countries are allowed or blocked.

Geoblocking is included in all Radio Mast streaming plans.

Configuring Geoblocking

After logging into Radio Mast:

  1. Click Streams on the left.
  2. Click the stream you'd like to configure.
  3. Select the Configuration tab.
  4. Under Listener Authentication, click Geoblocking. Select a mode and the countries you wish to block or allow.
  5. Click Save Stream to apply your settings.

The geoblocking modes available are:

  • Only allow listeners from these countries (allow list) - Listeners from all other countries will be blocked.
  • Block listeners from these countries (deny list) - Listeners from all other countries will be allowed.

Changes to geoblocking settings apply immediately to all new listeners. Listeners that are mid-session will not be filtered until they the next time they connect.
